🐾 Elaleni Pet Policy

At Elaleni, we understand that dogs are part of the family, and we’re delighted to welcome your furry companions to enjoy the coast with you.

To help keep the home beautiful and comfortable for all guests, we ask that the following guidelines are followed during your stay.

Bringing Your Dog

• A maximum of two dogs are permitted.
• A $200 fee per dog applies per stay.

During Your Stay

• Please keep dogs off beds and furniture and bring their own bedding.
• There is no enclosed yard, so pets must be supervised at all times.
• Pets must not be left alone in the house, even for short periods.
• Dogs must be on a leash at all times, both around the property and at the beach.
• To respect neighbours, please ensure barking is kept to a minimum.

Keeping Elaleni Clean & Comfortable

• Please clean up after your pet inside and outside.
Bring your own waste bags, tie them securely and dispose of them in the outside green bin.
• Please feed pets in the laundry or outdoors to help keep the home fresh and hygienic.
• For wet, sandy or muddy paws, old towels are provided in the laundry.
• Please do not bathe pets in sinks or showers — an outdoor rinse is best.
• Dogs must be flea-free and up to date with vaccinations before arrival.

Cleaning & Damage

• Any damage caused by pets may incur additional charges.
• Extra cleaning fees may apply if there is excessive pet hair, staining or strong odours.

Elaleni is a peaceful neighbourhood retreat. Please relax, enjoy and keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings.

Bedrooms & Beds Provided

To help keep cleaning costs fair for all guests, only the number of beds required for the number of guests booked will be prepared and available for use.

Bed access is based on guest numbers:
• 1–2 guests → Main bedroom (1 Queen bed)
• 3–4 guests → Main bedroom + Second bedroom (2 Queen beds)
• 5–6 guests → Both bedrooms + Loft (2 Queen beds + 2 Single beds)

If you would like additional beds prepared, please let me know before your stay — this can usually be arranged for an extra linen/cleaning fee.
An additional cleaning fee may apply if extra beds or rooms are used without prior arrangement.

Food & Drinks

To help keep fabrics fresh and stain-free, please enjoy food and drinks in the dining and outdoor areas only.

Breakages & Damages

Accidents happen — if anything is broken or damaged during your stay, please let me know so we can arrange a replacement.

Quiet Hours & Gatherings

• No parties or events.
• No school leavers bookings.
• Quiet hours are 10pm – 7am.
